In welcoming the season of giving this December, Samsara Ubud is excited to add its annual heartwarming Tree of Hope programme back to its joyous season celebrations lineup. Since it was first initiated in 2018, this programme has helped the local children of the Kelusa village to make their dreams come true by providing them with some basics for their education.

This year, Samsara Ubud expands its reach and invites guests to participate in giving a donation to Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Wana Seraya; a government-owned nursing home accommodating underprivileged and neglected elderly people with age ranging from 60 to 95 years old. With the minimum amount of IDR 250,000, guests will be able to provide a packet of basic necessities such as blanket, adult diaper and personal care items for each of 34 elderly people. As an addition, for every IDR 250,000 donated, an Indonesian literature book will be given to the local children of the Kelusa village for their reading enjoyment.

“In this special occasion, Samsara Ubud looks forward to sharing the joy of the season with both younger and older generations. While we understand that the future belongs to the younger generation, we should never forget the services and the impacts that the older generation has had to our lives”, says Bayu Sarwono, the Managing Director of PT. Samsara Raga International. “With this programme, we wish to fulfill their hope of comfort and simple pleasure.
For the younger generation, we wish to encourage their interest in reading from an early age with the gift of literature by brilliant Indonesian authors.”

The dazzling 3 metres tree as the symbol of the programme is decorated with warm white fairy lights and placed at the Samsara Ubud Gallery from December 9th 2022 to January 3rd 2023.
